Let's talk about what's happening out there in the Atlantic and Gulf coastal waters. We've got a moderate to fresh northerly breeze sticking around through early in the work week. Cautionary to hazardous conditions with elevated seas are expected, so keep an eye out.
For you sailors out there, in the Gulf Stream area, watch out for northerly winds around 15 to 20 knots with seas potentially reaching up to 6 feet on Monday.
As for today along the coast from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, we're looking at north winds at 10 to 15 knots, occasionally gusting up to 20 knots. Seas running between 3 to 5 feet, going up to 6 feet at times. A chance of showers is on the cards, so pack an umbrella just in case.
Tonight, those north winds pick up to 15 to 20 knots, maintaining those 3 to 5 foot seas, possibly touching 6 feet. So, a moderate chop on the Intracoastal waters is expected as well as a chance of showers in the evening.
For tomorrow, expect north winds at 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots, leading to seas of 4 to 6 feet, possibly reaching 8 feet. So, a moderate chop on the waters anticipated.
We've got a similar forecast ahead for Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef, Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, and the rest of the coastal waters in the region. North winds, elevated seas, and some choppy conditions to keep an eye on through the week.
For those venturing onto Lake Okeechobee, expect somewhat calmer conditions with north winds around 10 to 15 knots, and a moderate chop on the water.
And lastly, don't forget about Biscayne Bay where north winds around 10 knots with a slight chance of showers in the morning are forecasted for today.
