Alright, folks, let's dive into what the waters around Florida have in store for us! Here's your Coastal Waters Forecast coming straight from the National Weather Service in Miami, Florida.
For the Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef out to 60 nautical miles and Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee out 20 nautical miles and Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach out 60 nautical miles, including Biscayne Bay and Lake Okeechobee.
Today we've got some fresh to strong easterly winds in the Atlantic waters, while the Gulf waters are seeing a moderate to fresh breeze. Expect hazardous marine conditions across the region as winds and seas are on the rise.
Now, for those venturing out, especially small craft enthusiasts, keep in mind there's a SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY in effect through Wednesday evening. So, stay safe out there!
In a nutshell, plan for easterly winds of 20 to 25 knots and seas reaching up to 10 feet, gradually increasing early this week.
