Alright, folks! Let's dive into your coastal waters forecast for Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami. It's currently 400 AM EDT on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

For the Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef out to 60 nautical miles, and the Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee out 20 nautical miles, we've got a little something brewing.

Today, expect gentle to moderate northeast winds. Things will start to shift as a cold front approaches, so watch out for possible hazardous marine conditions by Wednesday afternoon as those north-northeasterly winds start picking up speed.

Heads up for the Gulf Stream - no hazards in sight. And if you're wondering where that Gulf Stream is hanging out, it's roughly a few nautical miles east of various landmarks as of October 12, 2024 - just in case you're charting your course.

If you're sailing near Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach or out 20 nautical miles, expect a mix of winds and seas throughout the day. Intracoastal waters should be pretty smooth early on.

For Lake Okeechobee, your waters should be calm today, but things will start to pick up with some choppy conditions on Wednesday.

And for Biscayne Bay enthusiasts, keep an eye out for some potentially rough waters by Thursday night with a chance of showers and thunderstorms rolling in.

Remember, safety first on the waters! And for more detailed forecasts, be sure to check us out via the link in the show notes.
