Alright, let's dive into your Florida coastal waters forecast for today! This is your buddy the Weather Whisperer here to give you the lowdown on what's happening out there.

For the Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and the Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee, we're looking at some moderate to fresh east-northeast breezes thanks to high pressure over the Southeast.

The hazardous seas across the Atlantic waters are easing up, dropping below hazardous levels by this afternoon and getting even friendlier down to 2 to 3 feet by Sunday. So, if you've been eyeing that boat trip, the weekend looks promising.

Now, over at the Gulf Stream, we've got some chunky seas at 5 to 7 feet today, but don't worry, they'll be mellowing out below 5 feet by tonight.

For those out near Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef and Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef out 20 miles, we've got a heads up with a Small Craft Advisory in effect until 2 pm today. Keep an eye out for those easterly winds at 10 to 15 knots and seas around 4 to 6 feet.

Expect a chance of showers today, lingering into the night with a possibility of thunderstorms after midnight. Sunday calms down a bit with seas around 2 to 4 feet and a chance of showers in the morning.

And for those fishing folks out from Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, a word of caution - Small Craft Should Exercise Caution. Keep an eye out for those northeast winds at 10 to 15 knots today, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

As always, safety first on the water, folks! Remember, for more detailed forecasts and updates, check out the link in the show notes.

Thank you for listening and make sure to subscribe to never miss an update!
