Alright folks, let's dive into the waters with a look at the Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida. I'm your friendly meteorologist here with all the scoop on what to expect out on the waves.

So, for our Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and the Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Bonita Beach, we've got a gentle to moderate southeasterly breeze sticking around. Expect scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms each day, possibly kicking up the winds and waves a bit.

No hazards in the Gulf Stream currently, which is always nice to hear. And if you're curious, the Gulf Stream's west wall is hanging out at varying distances from different points along the coast, as per the Naval Oceanographic Office.

Now, let's get into some specifics. For those closer to shore, like from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, today brings southeasterly winds at 5 to 10 knots with seas around 2 feet. Showers and thunderstorms likely throughout the day.

Moving out a bit further from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef, we're looking at southeast winds around 10 knots, seas around 2 feet, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms lurking.

And for those near Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, think light chop and less than 2-foot seas with a chance of showers and storms as the day progresses.

For Lake Okeechobee, expect some breezy southeast winds with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoons.

So, whether you're cruising, fishing, or just soaking up the sun, keep an eye on the weather updates. And remember, safety first on the water!
