Hey there, folks! Time for a weather update for the beautiful state of Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami. I'm here to break down the coastal waters forecast for you fine folks.
So, it looks like we've got a bit of a show on our hands today with Tropical Storm Debby making an appearance. Hazardous to dangerous marine conditions are expected, so make sure to stay updated with the latest marine weather warnings.
For our boaters out there, watch out for some gusty southeast winds ranging from 20 to 25 miles per hour, with occasional gusts up to 30 to 35 miles per hour. And you can expect seas dancing between 6 to 9 feet. It's gonna be a bumpy ride out there.
Now, for those of you more inclined to stick to the Intracoastal waters, brace yourselves for a moderate chop. Expect showers and thunderstorms likely throughout the day, so keep that rain gear handy.
And for the early birds planning their Monday, winds are set to diminish in the afternoon, with seas easing a bit.
Remember, safety first, so heed those small craft advisories in effect through Monday morning.
