Hey there, folks!
It's time for your Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami.
For those out and about on the waters, expect a gentle to moderate east-southeasterly wind flow continuing through Saturday. Keep an eye on the near-shore Gulf waters, as there might be a shift to the west-southwest in the afternoon. By the second half of the weekend, winds will become southerly, so plan accordingly. And don't forget your rain gear, as scattered showers and storms are in the forecast throughout the weekend.
No need to fret about the Gulf Stream today; there are no hazards to worry about. Just an FYI, the approximate location of the Gulf Stream's west wall as of the latest data is a few nautical miles away from various points along the coast.
