Alrighty folks, let's dive into your coastal waters forecast for Florida brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami.

So, brace yourselves 'cause we've got a moderate to fresh south to southwesterly wind flow making waves across the local waters. Keep an eye out for widespread showers and thunderstorms kicking in, which could amp things up a bit with higher winds and seas around those stormy spots.

Heads up for all you seafarers out there, around the Gulf Stream, winds and seas might get an extra boost near those showers and thunderstorms. The Gulf Stream’s west wall is currently making waves at different locations, from Fowey Rocks to Jupiter Inlet.

For all you sailors near Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, or Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef, expect some southwest winds today, causing seas to reach around 2 to 3 feet. Showers are on the radar with a chance of thunderstorms rolling in.

As we sail into the weekend, the winds are playing a bit, shifting from southwest to southeast. Saturday looks like it might bring some thunderstorms in the mix for a spontaneous water dance party.

Now for good ol' Lake Okeechobee, you might be dealing with some showers and thunderstorms. So, keep those raincoats handy if you’re planning a fishing trip or a leisurely cruise on the lake.

Biscayne Bay, on the other hand, is in for some moderate chop with showers and thunderstorms dancing in and out throughout the day and night. So, stay prepared for some spontaneous waterworks.
