Hey there folks, welcome to your Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida brought to you by the National Weather Service. Let's dive into what's brewing out there on the waters.

If you're planning a day out on the Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef or the Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee, here's what you can expect:

Today, we've got a mix of showers and thunderstorms brewing, with winds ranging from 5 to 10 miles per hour from the southwest, then turning to the south in the afternoon. Seas are looking calm at around 1 foot high. So, keep an eye out for those spotty showers and storms!

Tonight, winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour, with seas less than 2 feet. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, and later on after midnight.

Sunday brings us winds from the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour, with seas remaining less than 2 feet. Another day with a chance of thunderstorms in the morning and showers throughout the day.

Looking ahead to the start of the week, expect similar conditions with winds sticking around 10 to 15 miles per hour, and showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.

For all you boaters out there, keep an eye out for those changing conditions around showers and storms. And if you want more details, check us out via the link in the show notes.

Thank you for listening and make sure to subscribe to never miss an update. Stay safe out there on the water!
