Alright folks, time for the lowdown on our Florida coastal waters forecast! Hang on to your hats, here comes the scoop.
So, it looks like we're in for some smooth sailing (figuratively speaking) over the next few days. Expect mainly light winds ranging from 5 to 10 knots, keeping those seas at a calm 2 feet or less. The only potential hiccup to watch out for would be a sprinkle or rumble here and there with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.
For today out on the Atlantic waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and beyond, we've got east-southeast winds at a leisurely 5 to 10 knots. Seas are looking pretty mellow, so no need to batten down the hatches just yet.
Looking ahead, tomorrow continues the trend with more of the same, and even as we head into the weekend, conditions stay relatively relaxed. Winds might pick up a tad come Friday afternoon, but nothing too wild to write home about.
Over in Lake Okeechobee, it's a similar story with east to southeast breezes and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms rolling in during the afternoons. So, keep an eye on the skies if you're out and about on the water.
Just remember, folks, always stay weather-wise, no matter where your sails take you. And for the nitty-gritty details, you can always check out the link in the show notes.
