Hey there, all you cool cats and kittens! It's time for your fun-filled and entertaining Florida Coastal Waters Forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami.
Today, we've got a mix of easterly and southeasterly winds causing a bit of a ruckus out there. So, if you're planning some boating adventures, make sure those sails are secured!
For the Atlantic coastal waters, expect gentle to moderate easterly winds with the occasional chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. Watch out for some choppy seas as high pressure builds over the western Atlantic.
Now, for the Gulf coastal waters, things are getting interesting with southwesterly flows in the afternoons. Keep an eye out for those gusts near the Gulf Stream areas!
And for all you out there around areas like Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, watch out for some exercise caution vibes with winds around 15 to 20 knots. Seas might be reaching 5 feet occasionally, so hold onto your hats!
As for Lake Okeechobee, you're in for a mix of winds but nothing too crazy. Just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, so keep a lookout.
Remember, it's always better safe than sorry, so if you're hitting the waters, keep an eye on the skies and stay "weather-aware."
