For our Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef out to 60 nautical miles, we're expecting a gentle to moderate southeasterly wind pattern to stick around. As for the Gulf coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee out 20 nautical miles, we will see a transition to west-southwest winds in the afternoon, followed by south to southwesterly winds increasing in velocity later in the day.
For you folks along the coast from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, be sure to exercise caution today with south winds at 15 to 20 knots and seas ranging from 2 to 3 feet. Tonight, expect southwest winds at the same speed. Tomorrow, winds will shift, so keep an eye out for northwesterly winds in the afternoon and a chance of showers with thunderstorms.
If you're closer to Deerfield Beach towards Ocean Reef, today will bring south winds at 15 to 20 knots, with calmer conditions tonight. Keep in mind the possibility of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon as winds shift.
Down by Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, today will feature south winds near shore and well offshore at 10 to 15 knots, and smooth seas. Tomorrow, expect northwest winds near shore and well offshore at 10 to 15 knots. A slight chop in the bay and inland waters is anticipated.
And for those of you enjoying Lake Okeechobee, today will see south-southwest winds at 5 to 10 knots, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Tomorrow, be prepared for west-northwest winds at the same speed, with showers likely in the afternoon.
