Alrighty folks, time for a little boating weather update for East Central Florida! Here's what you can expect out there on the waters from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet.
Today, we're looking at some chill northwest winds around 5 knots, switching up to northeast later on. Seas will be about 1 foot high. Smooth sailing on the intracoastal waters.
Tonight, expect those winds to shift to southeast around 5 knots, turning west after midnight. Seas staying steady at 1 foot. Intracoastal waters should still be smooth.
For Tuesday, winds switching around to the west at about 5 knots, then kinda getting all southerly by afternoon. Seas remain at 1 foot. Intracoastal waters looking pretty smooth.
As you move into the end of the week, hold onto your hats because a cold front will be rolling in, bringing stronger winds and choppier conditions, especially on Friday with west winds at 15 knots, occasionally kicking up to 20 knots.
So, keep an eye on that forecast if you're planning any boating adventures. And remember, near the inlets, there could be some hazardous conditions during the outgoing tide due to those swells. Always better to be safe than sorry!
