Hey there, coastal dwellers! Get ready because we've got a boatload of weather coming your way for the East Central Florida region.
Today it's all about some offshore flow continuing through Monday, with winds eventually shifting onshore by midweek. Those wind speeds will be cruising along at relatively light levels. Seas are going to keep on calming down as we head into early this week.
Now, if you're out and about, keep an eye out for scattered to numerous offshore moving showers and lightning storms popping up into the afternoon and evening today and tomorrow. And guess what, no Gulf Stream hazards to worry about for now!
For the folks hanging out around Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet, here's the nitty-gritty: Today, expect some southwest winds around 5 knots, transitioning to southeast in the afternoon. Seas should reach about 2 feet with a light chop on the intracoastal waters. Keep a radar out for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then showers likely heading into this afternoon. Tonight, winds gently pick up to 5 to 10 knots from the southwest, with seas lingering at around 2 feet. By Monday, winds change things up a bit, cruising around 5 knots from the west, becoming southeast by the afternoon.
As we roll into midweek, those winds and seas will keep things interesting, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms dancing around.
