Hey there, folks! Time to take a look at what the waters off the coast of East Central Florida have in store for us.
For those cruising from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out to 60 nautical miles, here's the scoop.
Currently, we're seeing a predominantly offshore flow that should stick around through the weekend. Expect some potential thunderstorms and showers, especially in the afternoons.
Today on the closer shores from Flagler Beach to the Volusia-Brevard County Line within 20 nautical miles, we've got south winds at 10 knots and seas around 3 feet. Watch out for those thunderstorms popping up, with showers likely this afternoon.
Tonight, the winds shift to the southwest but stay relatively mild at 5 to 10 knots. Seas are expected to remain around 2 to 3 feet until tomorrow morning—keep an eye out for more showers and thunderstorms.
Looking ahead to Sunday, those south winds persist at 5 to 10 knots with similar sea conditions. A light chop on intracoastal waters with a chance of thunderstorms and showers.
Now, for those venturing out further to waters 20 to 60 nautical miles from Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line, it's pretty much the same story but with seas reaching 3 to 4 feet along with a heightened chance of thunderstorms and showers.
Remember, always be cautious as winds and waves can increase near thunderstorms.
