Hey there, coastal dwellers! It's time for your East Central Florida Coastal Waters Forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida.

For those of you living between Flagler Beach and Jupiter Inlet within 60 nautical miles offshore, here's the scoop:

We've got a stubborn stationary front hanging over central Florida and the nearby Atlantic waters, deciding it's not ready to move on just yet. Expect plenty of rain and lightning storms throughout the rest of the week thanks to that lingering deep moisture.

Now, when it comes to the Gulf Stream, watch out for those northeast winds cranking up to 15 to 20 knots with seas reaching up to 6 feet off the Volusia County coast.

Moving closer to home, for Flagler Beach up to the Volusia-Brevard County Line within 20 nautical miles:

Today, you're looking at east winds at a nice 10 to 15 knots, with seas ranging from 4 to occasionally 6 feet. Keep an eye out for showers and the rumble of thunderstorms - it's summer in Florida, after all.

Tonight, those east winds stick around at 10 to 15 knots, with seas holding steady. Thursday brings more of the same, with a slight wind shift.

Looking ahead to Friday, a change is in the breeze as it shifts from southeast to northeast, so plan accordingly.

Remember, winds and waves can kick up higher where those thunderstorms decide to party.

And for those venturing a bit further out, from Flagler Beach to the Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nautical miles:

Small craft should be cautious today with east winds revving up to 15 to 20 knots pushing seas up to 6 feet occasionally. Showers, thunderstorms - yeah, you know the drill by now.

As the week unfolds, keep an eye on those wind shifts and changing sea conditions.
