Alright folks, let's dive into the coastal waters forecast for East Central Florida! We're talking about the waters from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet, extending out 60 nautical miles.
Today, we're looking at west winds of about 5 to 10 knots, transitioning to southwest later on. Seas around 2 feet, and you might see some scattered rain and lightning storms popping up, especially in the late morning and afternoon.
And for you Gulf Stream enthusiasts, no hazards to worry about today! The Gulf Stream is cruising along east of Ponce Inlet, Port Canaveral, Sebastian Inlet, Fort Pierce Inlet, and Saint Lucie Inlet.
As we move into the weekend, expect that classic east coast sea breeze to kick in, bringing with it some afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The wind will shift to south-southeast and hang around for early next week, with plenty of chances for some showers and maybe even a rumble of thunder.
Remember, if you're planning any boating adventures, keep an eye out for higher winds and waves near those thunderstorms!
