Hey there coastal folks! It's time for your East Central Florida Coastal Waters Forecast, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Today, we're looking at some pretty calm winds early on, starting off light and variable, but then shifting towards the northeast to east with speeds picking up to a friendly 10 to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.

Heads up as high pressure moves down the Eastern Seaboard and then out to sea by Monday. This shift will bring some breezy onshore flow and building seas, so get ready for some less-than-ideal boating conditions by Monday and Tuesday. Things might deteriorate further as we head into midweek with a low-pressure wave making its way towards the Florida Atlantic coast from the east.

For those adventure seekers out there, no Gulf Stream hazards to worry about at the moment. The approximate locations are stated for your reference.

Now, let's dive into the specifics for different areas along the coast.

Heading towards Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line in the 0-20 nautical miles range, today brings in east winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour, ramping up to 15 m.p.h. Seas around 2 to 3 feet with a chance of showers and thunderstorms until late afternoon. Tonight, expect east winds at 10 to 15 m.p.h. causing seas to rise to 3 feet.

Moving on to Monday, anticipate stronger east winds around 15 m.p.h. with seas building up to 3 to 4 feet. Now, remember to be on the lookout for those scattered showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms!

And for those planning a bit further out into the water, like Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line in the 20-60 nautical miles range, similar patterns apply with winds, seas, and chances of rain, just a bit more heightened.

Remember, always stay weather-wise and plan your maritime activities accordingly. For more detailed updates and to stay ahead of any weather surprises, check out the link in the show notes.
