Alright, folks, let's dive into the coastal waters forecast for East Central Florida brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida.

Today, we can expect some west winds cruising at around 5 to 10 knots, shifting to a southwest direction later in the morning, and then hello east breezes early afternoon. By late afternoon, they'll swing southeast hitting 10 to 15 knots, bringing us some slight chances of showers and thunderstorms. Seas will be running at 1 to 2 feet, so grab your sunscreen and your shades for a fun day out.

For tonight, those south winds will pick up to 10 to 15 knots, but then chill out to 5 to 10 knots post-midnight. Seas will remain around 1 to 2 feet, creating a light chop in the intracoastal waters.

Looking ahead to Sunday, southwest winds will be making an entrance at around 5 knots, switching to southeast later on. The waves will be dancing around at 1 to 2 feet, offering us a light chop once again. Keep an eye out for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms - all adding to that typical Florida summer vibe.

As we move into next week, there's potential for more rain and storms, so stay tuned for updates. Remember, always be weather-wise when you're out and about on the water.
