Hey there, folks! It's time to get you up to speed on what the waters along the Atlantic coast from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet hold for us this week. So, grab your favorite beverage and let's dive in!
Starting off with a general heads-up, we've got high pressure building up off the northeastern seaboard throughout the week, keeping things pretty smooth sailing for us. However, as we move towards mid to late week, we might see an increase in rain and storm chances, especially with a shortwave trough making its way over the waters.
For those venturing out, boating conditions should be mostly favorable, but keep an eye out for lightning storms as they could shake things up a bit.
In terms of wind, we're looking at mainly east to southeast winds around 5 to 10 miles per hour, with seas averaging around 2 to 3 feet.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. So, keep that rain gear handy just in case you need it!
As we head into Thursday and Friday, expect some shift in the wind direction alongside a chance of showers and thunderstorms, so be prepared for some changes.
Remember, winds and waves can pick up around thunderstorms, so keep an eye on the skies and stay safe out there!
