Hey there, captain of the high seas! Let's dive into your Coastal Waters Forecast for East Central Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

This week, we're looking at some smooth sailing ahead as high pressure over the western Atlantic takes the reins. As we move towards the end of the week, expect a shift to an offshore flow as the Atlantic ridge axis makes its way south of our local waters.

For our boaters in the Atlantic coastal waters from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out to 60 nautical miles, here's the scoop:

Today through tonight, we've got southeasterly winds clocking in at 10 to 15 knots, with seas ranging from 2 to 3 feet. Keep an eye out for the occasional thunderstorm that might pop up this afternoon.

Tomorrow, expect some south winds at 5 to 10 knots in the evening, then picking up to a southeasterly breeze by the afternoon, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

As we head towards the end of the week, anticipate some southwest to south winds at 10 to 15 knots, with seas reaching up to 3 to 4 feet, all while keeping an eye out for those pesky thunderstorms.

Remember, always stay weather-aware and watch out for changing conditions, especially near any thunderstorms.

Thanks for tuning in and happy sailing out there! Keep it safe and enjoyable on the waters.
