Good morning, East Central Florida! It's time for your coastal waters forecast with me, your friendly neighborhood weather reporter. Today is Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, and we've got all the juicy details from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out to 60 nautical miles.

Let's dive right in! High pressure over the western Atlantic is holding steady, with the ridge axis stretching across north central Florida. Throughout the day, expect those southeast winds to pick up, reaching 5 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas will be running at 2 to 3 feet with a moderate chop on the intracoastal waters.

Tonight, the breezes will calm down a bit, clocking in at 5 to 10 knots out of the south, maintaining those 2 to 3-foot seas with a dominant period of 9 seconds. It's gonna be mostly smooth sailing on the intracoastal waters.

Looking ahead to Thursday, south winds will keep things steady at 5 to 10 knots, with similar sea conditions continuing. By the time Thursday night rolls around, winds will shift to the southwest, staying light but keeping those seas at 2 to 3 feet.

As we cruise into the weekend, expect some variations in wind direction and speed, but overall, it's looking like a great time to hit the waters. Whether you're fishing, boating, or just soaking up the sun, conditions should be favorable with seas around 2 to 3 feet.

And there you have it, folks! Your coastal waters forecast for East Central Florida is looking lovely for the next few days. If you want more details, be sure to check out www.quietperiodplease.com or look for a link in the show notes.
