Good morning, East Central Florida! I hope you're ready for some weather updates to plan your days out on the water. We've got all the details you need to know, so let's dive in.
For those venturing out on the Atlantic coastal waters from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out 60 nautical miles, poor to hazardous boating conditions are expected through daybreak, especially offshore. Conditions will somewhat improve today, but brace yourself for another round of poor conditions overnight due to a northerly wind surge. High pressure building over the region into the weekend will bring dry weather, with boating conditions gradually improving.
If you're specifically around Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line within 20 nautical miles, small craft should exercise caution early this morning. Expect northwest winds 15 to 20 knots early, becoming 10 to 15 knots later with seas 3 to 4 feet. Tonight, west winds 10 to 15 knots will shift to northwest 15 to 20 knots after midnight with similar sea conditions.
Moving further out to the Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet within 20 nautical miles, similar conditions persist with a shift to north winds tomorrow, bringing seas up to 6 feet. In the Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet region 0-20 nm, small craft should exercise caution near inlets with a mix of wind patterns throughout the day affecting wave heights.
And for those heading out even further, from Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm, and up to Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 20-60 nm, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect with northwest winds ranging from 20 to 25 knots.
