Good day, East Central Florida! It's time for your latest Coastal Waters Forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne. Let's dive in and see what's in store for our boaters and beach enthusiasts from Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out to 60 nautical miles.

We're looking at some fantastic boating conditions kicking off the week, thanks to high pressure hanging out in our local Atlantic waters. However, there's a twist coming up mid-to-late week as a cold front sneaks in. So, brace yourselves for windy conditions, scattered to numerous showers, isolated strong lightning storms, and some not-so-great boating conditions.

For those cruising the Gulf Stream waters, you're in the clear - no hazards to worry about there. And a quick heads up on the Gulf Stream's whereabouts: it's about 36 nautical miles east of Ponce Inlet, 28 nautical miles east of Port Canaveral, 21 nautical miles east of Sebastian Inlet, and 13 nautical miles east of Fort Pierce Inlet.

Now, let's break it down by zone:

For Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line within 0-20 nautical miles, expect varying winds today transitioning from west to southeast, with seas ranging from 2 to 3 feet. As we move into the week, winds will shift, so keep an eye out for choppy waters midweek.

In the Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet range, similar wind patterns prevail, but with a slight increase in intensity. Winds may hit 15 knots at times, creating a moderate chop on the intracoastal waters.

And for Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet within 0-20 nautical miles, we're looking at mostly calm conditions today, but don't let that fool you. Winds could pick up come midweek, so stay tuned for updates if you're planning any boat outings.

Lastly, for the 20-60 nautical mile stretch from Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line, conditions may get a little stirred up with winds up to 25 knots and seas up to 6 feet. Keep a lookout for potential showers and thunderstorms as the week progresses.

Remember, folks, always be prepared for changing conditions and stay safe out there on the water. For more detailed forecasts, head over to www.quietperiodplease.com or check the link in the show notes. Thank you for listening and make sure to subscribe to never miss an update!
