The marketing and sales processes are similar and are both required for organizational success, but they have some differences that are critical to understand. Marketing is about positioning and targeting those who need to know about your products and services. Sales is thusly the result from great marketing. The sales process, however, must also still be highly targeted to help “close the deal” with good outcomes for both parties.
