Today I'll be taking you through five songs from, and stories related to, my second musical comedy: 'Ponsemby's Castle'. It was first performed by Windsor High School students in 1996 at The Richmond School of Arts, Richmond, NSW, Australia.
Jessica Zamprogno - Female vocals; Julian (Juz) Clark - Drums on: 'Natasha the Witch'; all other instrumentation - me.
Play Programme
Act 1
English upper class twit, Ponsemby Bay, his upper class twit daughter, Rose, and their friend, Charles, are hunting in their forest with Vaucluse, Ponsemby’s upper class twit son. There are lumberjacks, a conservationist, a French guy, natives and a witch about the place, but very little plot.
Act 2
Still no sign of a plot but Ponsemby’s dungeon is full; all the women seem to fancy Chip Wood, the handsome Australian lumberjack and the witch is definitely up to no good. (Please boo where required). There are several twists (pity there was no plot really) and that’s it – but you do get to have a laugh at the expense of the French and that can never be too bad.
