As a Drama Teacher at Windsor High School, NSW Australia, between 1995 and 2001 I wrote and produced eight musical comedies. This podcast is about the first musical: 'Pirates, Parrots and Penguins'.
I narrate the podcast and talk about when the songs were written and retell any interesting stories related to each, and about the production itself.
I have chosen six of the play's twelve songs for this episode. All of the songs are fully produced and include all instrumentation. One of my ex-students provided the female voice and I played and recorded everything else.
LOGLINE
Captain Chook, his annoying parrot, Bono, and his complaining penguin, Goldstein, are sailing the Tasmanian Princess home. Love is in the air but Captain Cambridge tries to spoil the party.
If you want to return to the podcast but only want to hear the songs, I have provided the times below.
