In this episode, Sheri Praski, an Environmental Engineer and Education Specialist joins Civically Speaking to talk about the 'state of solid waste management' in Saskatoon.  Sheri  operates as an independent environmental consultant under the company name, Ecostrategies Consulting, and, is the Executive Director of the Solid Waste Association of North American (SWANA) Northern Lights Chapter that includes Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and NWT.  During our discussion, Sheri provides an overview of what zero waste management entails. We also discuss related municipal waste and energy issues including what it means when we think of waste as a municipal utility in Saskatoon rather than as something we currently pay for through our property taxes.  Thanks Sheri for coming on the show.
