Hello Dear Civically Speaking Listeners,

Thanks for tuning in.  We are living in the most interesting of times.  Pandammit as my cuz shared with me today fits as the feeling that goes with these times.

The provincial election happened yesterday in Saskatchewan - but the results are incomplete even with a resounding majority win by the Sask Party. Now we watch for which of the Sask Party or NDP candidates can claim victory in some key urban ridings after a significant number of mail-in ballets find their way to being counted tomorrow.

The NDP's vote share so far has been reduced to under 30%.  The Sask Party is over 60%. And, there's some talk of a new western focused, Buffalo Party, and how it's roamed on to the Saskatchewan plains, taking just under 3% of the vote share -  a higher percentage of the vote than either the Liberals, Conservatives, or Green Party.

Our panel assembled in this episode includes: Saskatoon StarPhoenix reporter and columnist, Phil Tank; former Saskatoon City Councillor, Patricia Roe; urbanist, Janice Braden; and, journalist-communications specialist, Christina Cherneskey.  Discussed are the results, the close races, what might the parties be focusing on the next 100 days, and, how might this influence the upcoming municipal races set to take place in two weeks less a day. Thanks panel members. Much appreciation. Thanks too to Jeff Jackson for co-hosting alongside me.

Have a listen. Share with others. And thanks for tuning in and supporting community radio.

Civically yours,
Lenore, Host of Civically Speaking
