Host Jeremy C. Park talks with cityCURRENT partner, Steve Woodyard, President of Woodyard Realty Corp., who highlights the Memphis-based multifamily brokerage company and their efforts focused on improving the quality of life in apartment communities and residents throughout Memphis and Shelby County. During the interview, Steve touches on the important role apartments play in the community, discusses some of the current trends impacting the industry, and shares a success story related to their efforts to improve inner-city housing.

Steve then talks about his team and their commitment to improving the community, overall, and how that led to the creation of the Woodyard Realty Scholarship in coordination with Give901, which is part of the City Leadership and Choose901 platform. Woodyard Realty is investing in the futures of Memphians by providing scholarships through Give901 that will provide financial support to a student pursuing a college education, a student pursuing a technical program, and a professional looking to advance in their career. The goal is to reduce financial barriers to education and provide an opportunity for outstanding students to achieve their dreams. Below is more information on the three scholarship opportunities, which Steve details during the interview. He wraps up by encouraging individuals to apply before the deadline of Friday, July 19, 2024.
