The Miracle and the Mindset: In Us, Through Us

In John 21, John knew Jesus' love for him and could recognize him from a distance. In contrast, Peter needed John's help to identify Jesus and be reminded of his true identity in him. Similarly, when we open our hearts to God and surrender to his work in us, we become like John—secure in our identity as his sons and daughters, part of his family. As we do this, we embody the work of the Spirit, allowing him to move freely through our lives.
