When I wrote the lyrics for this Christian Metal song, I was trying to express that beauty is found in the suffering of Jesus. While we see His bloody face, can’t we also see His love? When His feet are nailed to the cross, can’t we also see His willingness to remain when things get tough? When His arms are stretched wide while being nailed to the cross, can we also not see the invitation to come and be with Him? As we see the crown of thorns cutting into His head, are we not looking at the crown of our King? Yes, there is Beauty in the Brutality!
