506 Abraham’s Belief Was Credited As Righteousness, a Guided Christian Meditation on Galatians 3:6-9 with the Recenter With Christ app

The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.

Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.

Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.

Galatians 3

NIV 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

NASB 6 Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 7 Therefore, recognize that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. 8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

Meditation:

As a continuation from the previous verses, Abraham’s faith was crucial. God honors and rejoices when we hope in his grace. This is true now and it has always been true. The world has been blessed through Abraham because through his lineage came the Messiah himself. Jesus was of the House of Israel and specifically the tribe of Judah. Truly through Abraham has the world been blessed. All good people have always needed God’s grace. The Old Testament is filled with ways in which God offered redemption to the people, through the unblemished lamb was often the symbolism, pointing to this relationship with Jesus.

You have the blessing to be counted righteous just as Abraham was. Not because your lineage will be similarly important but because that is what God offers. He is no respecter of persons. In other words, God does not play favorites. Just as Abraham relied on grace to be enough so do you and I. We all equally need the Lord. We all equally need His blessed forgiveness which is what makes us clean and able to return to Him again.

One day, through the faithfulness of Christ, we may be in heaven talking with Abraham and hearing of his personal struggles while on Earth, realizing that he needed God’s grace as much as we do. We can share this same faithfulness to the grace Christ offers. Embrace this faithful heart.

Meditation of Prayer:

Pray as directed by the Spirit.

Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.
