Last week a friend recommended a documentary called Stutz. In it, director Jonah Hill discusses some of his long standing mental health struggles and how his meeting with psychiatrist Phil Stutz changed his life.
A few minutes into the documentary they began discussing mental health in three ways. One, is our relationship with our body, ie are way taking care of our health. Two, involves our relationships with people and three is our relationship with ourselves. Numbers two and three fall outside of my skill set but number one is something that I care deeply about.
A healthy mind cannot exist in an unhealthy body. In this episode, I share a few practical health-related principles that we can put into play right now. If we can make a wise decision and win this moment, we can win the hour. If we win the hour, we can win the day. If we win the day, we can win the week. Do you see where I am going here? All of these small victories become huge wins over time. If we want to improve our lot, it starts now, in this very moment!
