EP130: Dad Talk

In this episode I share a few topics of discussion that got brought up this week at the gym. Most of these talks revolved around doing the best we can as dads trying to juggle parenting, work, your significant other and all other aspects of life.

Topics covered: Going to work is the easy part, raising a child is hard. When you are home, be present

Be careful what you value. If it’s expensive things, booze and partying, they will most likely value the same. Choose wisely.

Lastly, I share a story about a Kenyan Olympic marathoner who, when asked if his child would follow in his footsteps, he answered quickly NO! They asked why and he said, “My kid doesn’t have to run to school everyday like I did. He gets driven”. No matter how hard you try, you can’t replicate the hardships you may have faced.
