Kat D returns this week with another bizarre film. This week it's Squirm (1976)

Due to a freak storm the town of Fly Creek is without power, instead the broken powerline is filtering its electricity to the muddy soils of Georgia. Geri, who lives at home with her Mother and sister Alma, is excited to be welcoming her city-dwelling boyfriend, Mick, whose coming to stay for the summer. Meanwhile Roger, a local boy, pines for Geri's attention. While all the drama ensues something else is lurking below the surface. The ongoing electrical current is making the worm population more vicious and dare I say...hungry for human flesh.

So make yourself an egg-cream, pop to your local dentist's for an x-ray and don't forget your badminton racket as we tackle Squirm (1976).
