The narcissistic matrix has a love of money and thus the demon of greed just like narcissists. Evildoers have a love of money and will do whatever they can to obtain it, mainly by stealing from whomever they can steal from. God does not say we cannot have money, He simply wants us to put Him first and love Him over all else. He will always provide our every need and then some when we delight in the Lord.
