Omicron Variant: Effects on Treatments for COVID-19

The SARS-CoV-2 omicron variant has affected which of our COVID-19 treatment strategies are currently effective, with some expected to maintain their efficacy and some expected to lose their efficacy. • Direct-acting, small-molecule antiviral agents such as   molnupiravir, nirmatrelvir + ritonavir, and remdesivir
• Monoclonal antibody treatments such as bamlanivimab + etesevimab, casirivimab + imdevimab, cilgavimab + tixagevimab, regdanvimab, and sotrovimab
