Marilla realizes that Anne does not know how to pray. At the asylum, she was taught that God is “infinite, eternal, and unchangeable,” a description she thought grand. She explains that she rejected God because Mrs. Thomas told her God gave her red hair on purpose.
Anne launches into the stories of her former "friends," Katie Maurice, a reflection in the glass in front of a book case, that she used to pretend was another girl, and her echo, who she pretended was a friend named Violetta. Exhausted, Marilla sends Anne to her room to finish learning the prayer.
High Horse Press and Cathi Colas Audiobooks are one in the same. I know I've made a lot of changes lately, but here's the plan going forward. Just The Classics. Told the way they were meant to be heard.
