Perseverance and advocacy in medicine, the mountains and beyond with Dr. Linda Keyes

In this episode of Catching North Stars, I sit down to talk with Dr. Linda Keyes who is not only an ER doc and a wilderness doc, but a researcher, world traveler, writer, and advocate for women in science. In our conversation we talk about how Linda linked together her personal and professional passions as a high-altitude specialist - a specialization that allowed her to be involved with local communities, make in-roads in areas of medicine where women's health had been historically overlooked, and work in connection with trekking expeditions. We also talk about her advocacy for herself and other women doctors as well as her participation in the Homeward Bound program - where she traveled with 80 women leaders in STEM to Antarctica.
