Chris Ferrell is a retired US Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He was born in Long Beach, California to a Navy family and spent most of his childhood moving from base to base. Eventually, putting down roots in Bossier City, Louisiana. During his senior year, the 9/11 attacks happened against our country and Chris made the decision that he was going to serve his country in the War on Terror. Chris enlisted in the USAF to become an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He wanted to do something where he could have an immediate impact on the battlefield in a kinetic environment. Chris graduated from EOD School in August of 2004 and went on his first deployment to Afghanistan in early 2005. It was the start of Chris’ career in combat. He was deployed in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013 in Afghanistan and 2008 in Iraq. Chris spent his career disarming and destroying Improvised Explosive Devices and has been attached to all branches of the US military.
