Continuing to Serve as a DC Police Officer

Carmel Rodriguez is a DC Police Officer, Author, and CAL Veteran Athlete. After his service, Carmelo served as an officer in a New York jail. In an unfortunate mistake, Carmelo was mistakenly declared deceased by the VA. He talks about the struggle of being mistakenly declared deceased by the VA, and how it was years before he could regain his life back. Following his struggle with the VA, Carmelo wrote a book about his experience and gained some national traction. While trying to overcome such a trying situation, Carmelo used fitness as his outlet. Today, Carmelo serves as a DC Police officer, we are inspired by his strength to continue to serve, he truly is #CALSTRONG.
