September 6th: Why Honoring Your Parents Leads to Wisdom | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

We’re continuing our Proverbs for Your School Life series—daily wisdom from the same book Jesus studied as a kid. And today’s truth? It’s all about something every kid needs to hear (even Pastor Justin did when he was growing up):

📖 Proverbs 6:20 (CSB)

👉 “My son, keep your father’s command, and don’t reject your mother’s teaching.”

💡 What does this mean?

  Your parents aren’t perfect (none of us are), but they love you and want to lead you toward wisdom.

  They’ve lived more life, made more mistakes, and have more experience than you.

  
  


• 
  

  Honoring them isn’t just about following rules—it’s about learning to receive wisdom.
