As some of you may know, I was attacked by a man walking in my neighborhood park around 9:45 am. The man made no attempt to steal anything; his only goal was to hurt me by tackling me like a football player. - The latest crime data shows that 11% of assault victims citywide in San Francisco are Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. - 25% of the elder abuse victims are AAPI, the highest among all the racial groups. - I grew up in a poor neighborhood where there gang fights, drive by shootings, and other issues that come with growing up in poverty. -But I have never been viciously attacked outside like this. This is a park where children are playing nearby; it should be the safest place on earth.
