18. Elevator Vanishing: The Unsolved Mystery of a Mother and Daughter

In this episode of "Salattu," Liisa introduces the mysterious case of a mother, Liu Huijun, and her four-year-old daughter, who disappeared from the Yuanlin financial building in Changhua, Taiwan, in 2008. The case begins with Liu arriving at the building late at night, acting anxious. Surveillance footage showed her removing her coat, shoes, and her daughter's jacket in the elevator before disappearing on the 11th floor. Despite extensive police searches of the building and surrounding areas, no trace of the two was ever found.

Investigations revealed that Liu was in a troubled marriage and had left home following a heated argument. Various theories have emerged about her disappearance, including suicide, homicide, or a planned escape, but none fully explain the lack of evidence or the absence of bodies. Over the years, the building became known as "cursed," but the fate of Liu and her daughter remains a haunting mystery, leaving more questions than answers.
