The goal of marketing should always be to multiple capital. If you’re doing it right, this will always be the end result. When business gets tough and you’re looking for ways to cut costs, you should NEVER completely cut out your marketing budget. That doesn’t mean you have to always be spending thousands of dollars each month on it, but you must be doing it in some way. That could be paid advertising, content marketing, or something else.

At Pulse, we’ve double-down on paid marketing in a time when our competitors are stopping. This has led to some serious growth in our gym over the past few months. Even though there is a lot of uncertainty in the world today, people are still interested in fitness and your marketing is what’s going to bring them into your gym. Remember, if they’re not coming to your gym, they’re going to someone else's. 

A lot of that marketing success we’ve been having has been through paid advertising campaigns. And if there is one thing you need to know about paid advertising campaigns - it’s that once you find a winning ad, you need to scale it. Start small, but once the data is out and the numbers show that it’s a profitable marketing source, press the gas harder and increase the budget. Go all in and double down to get as many clients as you can before everything changes.
