Welcome to episode #1 of the Building Great Lives podcast!
I grew up hearing it was wrong to question God. Having questions for God meant you didn't trust Him. However, I must be honest with you, there have been many times I’ve had to navigated circumstances that left me asking God why.
Because I didn’t think I could ask God questions, when I did, I would question my faith. Admittedly, I felt condemned for having questions. Condemned is how I felt, but how did God feel about me having questions?
Let’s get this settled once and for all, having questions is completely normal.
Having questions isn’t wrong. God knows the intent of our heart. Having questions for God doesn’t offend Him. There’s a huge difference between a question and an accusation.
There’s over 5,600 questions in the Bible. Jesus’ disciples had questions. Those questions didn’t eliminate them from being chosen. This revelation has been extremely liberating for me. I believe it will be for you too.
We should feel free to respectfully ask God anything.
Even disciples have questions for God….
Remember, great lives are not born, they’re built.
Let’s start building!
