To a varying degree, almost all of us have a fear of the dark.
All of our senses are intensified in the dark. Every noise sets our nerves on edge. The sounds we hear are magnified. Our ears hear sounds that we’ve “never” noticed during the daylight hours. Our heart rate increases as our brains try to determine if these sounds mean danger.
For many people, fear of the dark is not actual fear of darkness, but rather fear of possible dangers that are concealed by it. Darkness is disorienting.
In this episode we’re not talking about a natural darkness. This darkness is a type of emotional heaviness that makes it difficult to move forward.
Isaiah 50:10 tells us that even believers, those that obey His voice experience dark times. Experiencing the darkness doesn’t negate our relationship with Him. It is in this darkness that we are exposed to the Light. He shines brightest in your darkest days.
Have you ever been in a dark season? Maybe you’re in one right now. This spiritual and emotional darkness is trying to swallow you up.
But, I know this darkness is not more powerful than God. Thankfully, God moves and works in our darkest days.
Join me in this episode as we lay out a survival guide for surviving your darkness days.
