This is one of my favorite books. The author Erick Hoffer explains various aspects of mass movements and why people tend to jump on board, primarily stemming from a certain frustration or personal burden they want relief from.  The book outlines the attributes of a great leader and how they give the people what they want which is unity over anger, fear and action along with hope of a better future. Liberation from personal responsibility and decision making and a road map to follow.
