Episode 25: Don't Miss The Opportunities To Make A Million

INTRODUCTION

Everyone gets thrown life cards, but it’s all about how you handle those cards that make or break you. This week we have one of our clients, Jerrica Dodd, school us on overcoming a life card and learning to put herself first. She takes us along through her story from the moment that she had life-saving brain surgery to how she founded her 7-figure business and pharmaceutical magazine in just 2 years.

1. No matter what, you have to prioritize yourself. You need to come first. We have said it many many times, you can’t help others until you have helped yourself first. If you are not prioritizing yourself, how can you expect anyone else in your life to prioritize you? 
2. The number one person you have to trust is yourself. When you trust yourself enough you can make BIG moves. You have to be open to new things, open to what’s possible. Fear hates movement, and you have to trust yourself to move. 
3. Take the most that you can get when the opportunity arises. Don’t ever miss an opportunity to learn. Leave all the rationalizing and the excuses behind and just jump at the opportunity presented to you. When you leave the excuses behind, the world will open up for you.
4. Dreams and desires are meant to be illogical. We miss the opportunities because we try to rationalize every decision. Start taking the more illogical opportunities.

A LITTLE ABOUT JERRICA

Dr. Dodd has been a pharmacist for 20 years and recently transitioned into full-time entrepreneurship after a 17-year career in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles in Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs. Throughout her years in the pharma industry and in several community venues, Dr. Dodd has experience speaking to diverse audiences including physicians and other health care providers. Her most recent start-up is Your Pharmacy Advocate LLC. YPA exists to close the gap on medication risks allowing prescribers and patients to manage health better. With her background in pharmacy, leadership training, and her passion for people, Dr. Dodd enjoys encouraging people to be their best and to get the most out of every opportunity that life presents.
